We are proud to announce that Rob Shepherd, Chairman of the Guernsey Cheshire Home is set to make his boxing debut on 6th April, raising funds for the Home at the Las Vegas White Collar Boxing event at Beau Sejour, with a raffle and collection also taking place on the night to raise funds for the Home.

When asked about his participation in the event, Rob explained that

‘Training has been hard, but it’s been amazing to see the improvements in technique and fitness over such a short time.’ While enthusiastic about his training, Rob was especially pleased with how the event will benefit the charity.‘We are grateful to Christy Leavey and Boxfit for giving us the platform of the show to raise money for the home. Likewise, the generosity of Opus in the amazing auction prize makes me sure that the residents of the Cheshire Home will benefit from what should be a fun and glitzy evening’.

The Guernsey Cheshire Home receives no States funding and runs entirely off fund-raising and donations, at a cost of over a million pounds per year, so events and fundraisers like this are crucial to the well-being of the home’s residents. Tables are available to book at the black-tie event by contacting info@boxfit.gg or 07829 810593.

The cost is £1,000 per table, seating ten, and includes a three-course meal. Doors open at 6 pm and dinner will be served at 7 pm. There will also be a chance for attendees to get their hands on VIP tickets for heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury’s next fight.
