Guernsey residents have the chance to win a holiday of a lifetime each month with Guernsey Cheshire Home and Wayfarers World Travel.
The ‘Dream Holiday Draw’ worth £6000 is open to local residents at £10 a ticket per month and has been newly supported by Wayfarers World Travel – Guernsey, in a bid to provide a much needed boost to the Cheshire Home’s funding.
The Home provides care and support for islanders living with severe physical disabilities, and costs approximately £1m per year to run. The Dream Holiday Prize draw was designed by Cheshire Home to help boost its fundraising target and address a shortfall in revenue needed to cover running costs.
Chairman of Cheshire Home, Robert Shepherd said: “This is the second year we have run the Dream Holiday prize draw where Guernsey residents have the chance each month to win a £6000 holiday. We draw a winner at the end of each month and they get to book a holiday of their choice with Wayfarers. We believe we are the only charity in the Channel Isles offering a luxury prize like this and hope to see more Guernsey residents buy a ticket to support the Home.”
Wayfarers Travel Branch Manager Sam Fusellier said: “We are thrilled to be the official travel partner for Guernsey Cheshire Home and are proud to be able to support such a fantastic cause. We hope to boost ticket sales for the home this year and help them achieve their fundraising targets.”
The next Dream Holiday Draw takes place on 30 March at the Guernsey Cheshire Home. Tickets can be purchased online here.
