Lunch at the Home to raise funds for the people of Ukraine
Having watched with increasing alarm the awful attack on Ukraine Jim, one of our carers, suggested holding a lunch at the Home to raise funds for the people of Ukraine.
On Monday 4th April Calum, one of our chefs, will be cooking typical Ukrainian food – braised pork with garlic bread, followed by cherry dumplings. We are charging £10 a head and have 23 residents’ and staff’s names down so far. We also see this as a way of the Home giving back to the community, albeit not our community this time.
Jenny, one of our residents suggested making ribbon badges in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, pictured are three of our young day visitors with the badges they have made so far. These are being sold at £1 each.
