Jan 2016 / Thank you Alex
After four years of dedication to the Home, Alex Jenner has decided to step down from her role as fund raising coordinator. Alex has been instrumental in raising awareness and driving fund raising activities for the Home since her appointment in 2012. The Board and management of Guernsey Cheshire Home would like to thank Alex for her time and dedication. Alex will further advise the Guernsey Cheshire Home on an as-needed basis and believes it’s time to let others enjoy the pleasure of working at Shorncliffe. “It has been a privilege to work for such a deserving cause and I leave with heavy heart but feel my time working with the Home must come to an end. My inspiration has been the residents who are all remarkable people. The residents and my Home colleagues have become my extended family and I will continue to support and help wherever I can,” said Alex.
Mr Roy McGregor, Chairman of Guernsey Cheshire Home, said: “Alex has led the fund raising initiatives through one of the most challenging economic periods. Her dedication and dynamism will always be remembered and I speak on behalf of all the board in wishing Alex well for the future.”
During her time with the Home, Alex successfully launched the Property Lottery and organised many events and fund raising activities for the Home. Her business acumen and accountancy background meant those events generated significant funds.
