Gemma Polls won the August Dream Holiday Draw…

Gemma and her partner, John decided to go to Dubai and the Maldives.

They have shared more about the holiday below:

We spent three days in Dubai staying at the Atlantis the Palm with its large indoor aquarium which was stunning. We explored the city, shopped in the Dubai Mall and visited the Burj Khalifa taking in the views of the city from the 154th floor. We also had fun at the Aquaventure Waterpark, spending time on the lazy river and being brave enough to go on the ‘Leap of Faith’ being a tall mega-slide which hurtled us down its near-vertical drop in a mere second, only to find ourselves speeding through a clear acrylic tubes surrounded by numerous sharks and cownose rays.

After a few hectic days in the city we then moved on to the second part of our holiday for full relaxation on the island of Giraavaru in the Maldives. Centara Ras Fushi Resort and Spa was as luxurious as we expected. From the moment we stepped on the island to the moment we were waved off by the staff on the return speed boat, everything was perfect.

We spent many hours snorkelling in the clear blue waters that surrounded our deluxe water villa where an abundance of sea life was seen.

We could not fault anything, the service was the best we had experienced. The delicious cocktails at the three bars, various food options at the four restaurants and the treatments at the spa truly made a wonderful and relaxing holiday.
