A massive thank you to everyone who took the plunge at this year’s Skipton Boxing Day Dip!

Community spirit shone brightly at this year’s Skipton Boxing Day Dip with swimmers braving the chilly waters at Cobo Beach. We have raised over £12,000 for the Guernsey Cheshire Home.

A massive thank you to Northern Trust who donated £100 for every minute their colleagues braved the sea. They managed a whopping 25 minutes, adding an incredible £2,500 to the money raised on the day and through ticket sales.

Rob Shepherd, Chairman of the Guernsey Cheshire Home, added: “This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we are deeply grateful to Skipton International for their continued sponsorship and to everyone who took part or donated. The funds raised will make a lasting impact, helping us maintain the vital care we provide for our residents and those seeking respite services.”
