Congratulations to Karyn Marsh, who is celebrating five years of service at the Guernsey Cheshire Home.

Over the past five years, Karyn has played an important role as part of the team, supporting residents with compassion, kindness and dedication.

Reflecting on her time at the Home, Karyn said:

“Five years ago, I started my journey as a carer at the Guernsey Cheshire Home. Looking back, I never imagined just how much this place would change me.

“Working here hasn’t just opened my eyes, it has opened my heart. Every single resident, both past and present, has taught me something invaluable. It has been an incredible privilege to meet such amazing people, to care for them, and to be trusted to support them through some of life’s most challenging moments.

“The courage, resilience and dignity our residents show every day, especially towards the end of life, is truly remarkable. Their strength has inspired me more than words can ever express, and I carry the lessons they have taught me with me every day.

“I am so grateful to the Guernsey Cheshire Home for changing my life in so many ways. It has helped me grow, not only as a carer but as a person. The compassion, friendships and memories I have gained over the past five years are something I will always treasure.

“There is nowhere else I would rather work. It is an honour to be part of such an amazing team, caring for such extraordinary people, and I look forward to many more years of making a difference in the lives of our residents, just as they have made a difference in mine.”

Everyone at the Guernsey Cheshire Home would like to thank Karyn for her continued dedication and congratulate her on reaching this milestone.
